Hello, Good soft but it would be great to have the settings remembered (i.e. keeping french as standard translation).

A very good app! Absolutely worth its money. A must-have for all who are interested in Hebrew bible, Jewish studies or ancient Northwest Semitics. As yet, I detected some tiny inconsistencies in Hebrew text presentation, which might be due to my iPhone 3, admittedly - its no serious obstacle.

Amazing app, very powerful translation and audio. Thank you to the team who developed this. Praise G-D.

Absolutely excellent

You can still search, and hear, but where the text displays... there is no text. I have tried reinstalling to my iphone 5 because my 4s broke. ;( no more Hebrew bible for me. If you have a 4S and under... please get this... 5 and over? Move along.

the app is very good but its a pity to have to read hebrew in so little fonts.. there is no magnifyer. why dont you put in a magnifyer function, too? That would be great!!

This is a great tool to support learning Biblical Hebrew. Direct access to the BDB word reference by touching the Hebrew word. Also great to have access to audio of the Hebrew text.

If you want to learn to read the Bible in Hebrew, this is your app. It not only has a side-by-side Hebrew/English reader, but also the highly helpful "Hebrew Reader" which is only in Hebrew and allows you to tap ANY word and it instantly pulls up its definition(s). This app is worth at least $10, prabably more! So getting it for $5 is awesome!!

Now it is compatible with the itouch 1st generation. I thank the developer for the latest update. It is a pleasure to be able to read The Torah with both English and Hebrew side-by-side. Thank You.

For 6.99 i am very impressed by the functionality of this program. I want very much to give it a full five stars. The only reason i am not is bc Id like the ability to make text larger. Please include this option and this is an unequivocal 5 stars!

THIS PRODUCT NEED ONLINE SERVICE TO WORK. Other than that it is acceptable. I was hoping for a full version on the iPad itself without WiFi service needed.

Update: This is completely amazing on an iPad! They dont even charge for the separate version. ----------------------- This is a wonderful effort. But the "Hebrew Torah with commentary" still pops up the info window off of the current screen, so you have to scroll to find it, which of course is not very useful. Regardless, if you want a very handy iPhone version of Tanach, this is great. And I love having the Targum as well. I do wish more of the content were available offline and hope the authors will consider addressing this.

This looks like a great app, but without an internet connection, its useless. The app would probably be amazing if the Bible were stored on the iPod/iPhones local memory.

Loved this app until I downloaded the last update... Now it wont even load! Have iOS 3.1... Anxiously waiting... When will the update/fix be available?!

I enjoy using this application. Its got a lot of the functionality youd epect from a hebrew/english bible. For me, the best part is clearly the audio recordings that are included. There are a number of odd user interface choices that detract from the polish of this application. First and foremost, i would love to make the Hebrew text even bigger. Theres not a whole lot of font size choice. Second, access to the settings screen belongs at the bottom, not in a submenu that is difficult to access. Im really hoping that these two items get fixed in newer versions. Overall, a very decent app. I recommend you check it out.

Im happy to have the Hebrew Bible on my iPhone but Im not sure it is worth $7. I was looking for an app that had the Hebrew in parallel with an English version so this does satisfy my minimum requirements. It goes a little further by adding audio reading of the Hebrew which I find helpful. A few disappointments: 1) you cant change the font size 2) I havent figured out how to turn off the parallel translation. The parallel display leaves room for only one or two Hebrew words

I cant believe some are begrudging the $7 price for this app, which easily puts hundreds of dollars of materials at your instant disposal. Someone whined about the audio quality. Puhth on them, the audio is perfectly fine, spoken clearly and with great heart. You were expecting James Earl Jones? Some belittle the parallel presentation. Yes, it is not an interlinear text. Thats because it is not for beginners. If you want training wheels, buy a program with training wheels. If you want to revel in the humility and cadence of a devout reading, you will not be disappointed. The developers are obviously smart people: the program draws on Internet-based resources for absolute currency, but can cache as much text as you like. The developers seem very responsive to input. The user interface is thoughtful and intuitive. The academic composition is intelligent and elegant. This is a good book. THE Good Book.

I bought the app hoping that it would help me with my Hebrew. The biggest problem is that there is no direct translation or hyperlink for each word. I understand this is a large project. But you should make it easy to search for words that one doesnt know. If you are looking for a quick Hebrew/English bible and nothing else, this is pretty good. But if you are looking for help while reading/ translating the text, look elsewhere. Developer: please add hyperlinks to Hebrew words to BDB. Or at least make it easier to search for meanings. Not a good buy. Wish I had passed.
